Masters degree $750.00 per unit
Doctorate degree $850.00 per unit

Job Description

Under the supervision of the Assistant Dean, Azusa Pacific University College (UC) adjunct faculty are responsible for ensuring that students meet all learning objectives and successfully complete their course as outlined in the syllabus and that they receive appropriate and timely feedback and assessments throughout the course.  Additionally, they will track, monitor, advise, and openly discuss course matters with students as needed throughout the course.
Required Experience and Education  
  • Christian Commitment: Vital Christian faith and lifestyle
  • Supportive of the evangelical mission and purpose of UC and the Azusa Pacific University System
  • Minimum earned Master’s degree in respective discipline
  • Online teaching experience or completion of an online teaching certification process.
  • PHD, DrPH, or MPH (Masters in Public Health)
Desired Experience / Education
  • Minimum 2 years teaching online experience
  • Course development experience
Primary Duties 
  •  Respond to student e-mails, questions, and comments within one business day.
  • Grade and provide quality feedback to student on their assignments within two business days, including progress reports and assessments of student activities.
  • Communicate with UC staff and Success Coaches weekly concerning any problems or potential problems with students.
  • Follow additional job expectations as outlined in Faculty Expectations for Online Teaching.
 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 
  • Strong command of the English language with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, with an ability to plan and manage multiple projects concurrently in a timely manner
  • Ability to be proactive, to take ownership of assigned programs, work with little supervision, and meet deadlines
  • Skill in the use of personal computers and appropriate software applications (see below)
  • A positive, cooperative, Christ-like attitude supportive of the University and its mission
